Lieberknecht, Andrea

Prof. Andrea Lieberknecht was principal flutist from 1989 to 2002 - first in the BR Radio Orchestra, and from 1991 in the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra. She was also principal flute in the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra for three years.

Marc, Dorin

Dorin Marc was professor of double bass at the Nuremberg University of Music from 1998 to 2022. He studied double bass in his native Romania at the University of Music in Bucharest under Prof. Ion Cheptea.

Plagge, Rolf

Prof. Rolf Plagge received his first piano lessons at the age of six, studying with Peter-Jürgen Hofer and, after graduating from high school, with Vitaly Margulis in Freiburg. His studies took him to the conservatories in Vienna, New York and Hanover.

Rekkenze Brass

The brass quintet Rekkenze Brass - named after the Slavic name of a village settlement from which the town of Hof emerged - was founded in 1978 and has performed in over 20 countries including America and the Far East.

Schablas, Andreas

Prof. Andreas Schablas studied at the conservatories in Graz and Vienna, with Kurt Daghofer, Peter Schmidl, Gerald Pachinger and above all Johann Hindler.

Sischka, Christoph

Tischler, Stefan

Prof. Stefan Tischler comes from Gütersloh in Westphalia and has been principal tuba of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich since 2010.
