Prof. Hannes Läubin

Prof. Hannes Läubin received his training under Prof. Bodenröder at the University of Music Freiburg/Breisgau and was a member of the Bundesjugendorchester from 1971 to 1976. During this time he won three first federal prizes at “Jugend Musiziert” and second prize at “Concertino Praga”.

From 1976 to 1992 he was a member of the NDR Symphony Orchestra (since 1978 as principal trumpet). He was subsequently appointed professor at the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart and moved to the Munich University of Music and Theatre in 1996. He has also played in the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra since 1995 and at international festivals (including the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, Quiberon Festival, Oregon Bach Festival). In addition, he was a juror at the international ARD competition in 2003. Läubin’s discography includes vinyl records and CD recordings with numerous other artists and ensembles, including Simon Preston, German Brass, Gächinger Kantorei, Windsbacher Knabenchor as well as orchestral works and operas.
