Prof. Ingolf Turban has already performed as a soloist in the Berlin and Munich Philharmonic Halls, the Kennedy Center in Washington, New York’s Avery Fisher Hall, Zurich’s Tonhalle, the Golden Hall of Vienna’s Musikverein or Milan’s La Scala.
With his performances, he brings to the world, in addition to the works of the great violin literature, a repertoire some of which have never been heard. His commitment to the work of Niccolò Paganini alone has brought him unusual success, e.g. in March 2006 with the New York Philharmonic; but also with the complete recording of the six violin concertos and in the television documentary “Paganini’s Secret”. His extensive repertoire of all styles is now documented on over 40 CD productions. In 2005 he founded the chamber orchestra “I Virtuosi di Paganini”. In 2006, Turban, who had taught at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts for 11 years until then, followed the call to the University of Music and Theatre in Munich.
