
Prof. Clara Dent-Bogányi comes from a family of musicians, grew up in Salzburg and won international prizes, including the ARD Competition in Munich.
She performs as a soloist with many renowned orchestras and has already recorded numerous solo works on CD and for radio. Her chamber music partners include artists such as Radek Baborak, Irena Grafenauer, Sergio Azzolini, the Kuss Quartet and many more. She has been principal oboist of the Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin since 1999 and has performed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bavarian State Opera, among others. She has been a professor of oboe at the University of Music in Nuremberg since 2009 and will also be at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna from the summer semester of 2025. She regularly gives master classes, e.g. in Japan, China, Korea, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Germany. Her students are internationally successful in competitions and have positions in German orchestras.
