Prof. Clara Dent-Bogányi comes from a family of musicians, grew up in Salzburg and won international prizes, including the ARD Competition in Munich.
She performs as a soloist with many renowned orchestras and has already recorded numerous solo works on CD and for radio. Her chamber music partners include artists such as Radek Baborak, Irena Grafenauer, Sergio Azzolini, the Kuss Quartet and many more. Since 1999 she has been principal oboist of the Rundfunk-Sinfonie-Orchester Berlin and has made guest appearances with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bavarian State Opera, among others. Since 2009 she has been professor of oboe at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg. She regularly gives master classes, e.g. in Japan, China, Korea, Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Germany. Her students are internationally successful in competitions and have positions in German orchestras.
