Jürgen Ellensohn was appointed professor of trumpet at the Munich University of Music and Performing Arts for the 2025 summer semester. Previously, he held professorships at the University of Music in Würzburg (2019–2025), the Stella Vorarlberg Private University of Music (2022–2023), and the Vorarlberg State Conservatory (2015–2019).

As principal trumpeter, he served for 15 years with the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra (hr-Sinfonieorchester) and previously with the Bern Symphony Orchestra. Guest engagements have taken him to the Berlin Philharmonic, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic, the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, and the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich, among others. As a soloist, he has performed with numerous orchestras and collaborated with conductors such as Kirill Petrenko, Andrés Orozco-Estrada, and Matthias Pintscher.

He is also passionate about chamber music: he is a member of the ensembles Pro Brass and The Philharmonic Brass. Numerous audio and video recordings document his stylistic versatility.

Recognised for his celebrated interpretations as soloist, his extensive exploration of chamber music with some of the finest musicians today, and a dedication to widening the cello literature, Marc Coppey is considered one of the world’s leading cellists – in addition, now with a growing reputation as a fine conductor on the international podium.

A protégé of Lord Yehudi Menuhin and Mstislav Rostropovich, Coppey first shot to international acclaim at the age of 18, winning First Prize and ‘Special Prize for the Best Bach Performance’ at the prestigious Leipzig Bach Competition (1988). Soon thereafter, he made major debuts in Paris and Moscow in collaboration with Yehudi Menuhin and Victoria Postnikova (captured on film by the celebrated director Bruno Monsaingeon), and performed at the Evian Festival by personal invitation of MstislavRostropovich. Since then, Coppey has carved out an impressive solo career to date, working regularly with many of the world’s finest orchestras and conductors – including, amongst others, Alain Altinoglu, Lionel Bringuier, Lawrence Foster, Alan Gilbert, Kirill Karabits, Emmanuel Krivine, John Nelson, Pascal Rophé, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Yutaka Sado, and Hugh Wolff.

Recent and forthcoming highlights include performing as soloist with such orchestras as the Dortmunder Philharmoniker, Kansai/Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio- France, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto de Casa da Música, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), and the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra of China. As conductor, Coppey has performed recently with the Deutsche Kammerakademie, Strasbourg Philharmonic, Nice Philharmonic, Prague Philharmonia, Irish Chamber Orchestra, amongst other leading ensembles, and serves as Music Director of the Zagreb Soloists.

Coppey is a much acclaimed recording artist, working exclusively with the Audite classics label. In 2024, he released a recording of the complete works for cello and piano by Gabriel Fauré, with celebrated pianist François Dumont. 2021 saw the release of Shostakovich: Cello Concertos (with Polish Radio Symphony/Lawrence Foster), whilst 2022 saw the release of Kodály: Music for Solo Cello, and The French Cello (Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg/John Nelson). All four albums received exceptional reviews, universally placing Coppey on a par with the greatest cellists in history.

Passionate about inspiring future generations of musicians, Coppey is a Professor at the Conservatore National Supérieur de Musique de Paris, and is regularly invited to give masterclasses across Europe, Asia, and both North & South America. Since October 2020, he is the Artistic Director of the Saline Royale Academy : a state-of-the-art new music education facility in France.

Marc Coppey is also a passionate chamber musician, and former member of the Ysaÿe Quartet (1995-2000). He now serves as Artistic Director of the annual Easter Festival in Colmar.

Marc Coppey performs on a rare cello by Matteo Goffriller (Venice, 1711) and resides in Paris.

Dunja Robotti was born in Brussels to Italian-German parents and received her first piano lessons from Piotr Lachert and then at the Conservatoire Royal there. At the Berlin University of the Arts, she studied piano with Professors Hans Leygraf and Georg Sava, as well as song interpretation with Aribert Reimann and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. Masterclasses with Vitalij Margulis, György Sebök, György Sàndor, and Lev Naumov complemented her training.

While still a student, Dunja Robotti was a tutor for song accompaniment at the Berlin University of the Arts. After several years of teaching cello accompaniment at the Berlin University of the Arts in the classes of Professors Wolfgang Boettcher and Jens Peter Maintz, she has been a lecturer at the Nuremberg University of Music for the string classes there since 2009. In 2016, she was appointed honorary professor. An important focus of her work is teaching and working with double bass literature. She regularly accompanies the classes of retired professor Dorin Marc in Nuremberg and professor Dominik Wagner in Würzburg.
Dunja Robotti has won several international competitions. In Paris, she won first prize in the “Claude Kahn” and “U.F.A.M.” competitions and received third prize at the International Pianists’ Meeting in Pontoise. She was also a prize winner and finalist at “Città di Marsala” in Sicily and “F. Schubert and the Music of the 20th Century” in Graz.

Since the age of ten, she has given regular concerts as a soloist, chamber musician, and song accompanist with outstanding musical partners and singers in Europe’s most renowned concert venues, including the Berlin Philharmonic, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Munich Herkulessaal, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Schubertiade in Feldkirch, the Beethovenfest in Bonn, and North and South America. Radio productions for WDR and Radio Bremen, as well as for Bayerischer Rundfunk and SFB, document her extensive work, as do various CD recordings.

As a long-standing accompanist for master classes at the Carl Flesch Academy in Baden-Baden, at Haus Marteau, at the Sawallisch Academy, and as an audition accompanist for numerous orchestras, Dunja Robotti continually proves herself at the highest level of the art of piano accompaniment.

Born in Vienna in 1997, double bassist Dominik Wagner holds a scholarship from the Anne-Sophie Mutter Foundation and is an ECHO and Opus Klassik winner. He has also won prizes at almost all double bass competitions, including the Bradetich Foundation International Double Bass Solo Competition, the ARD International Music Competition, the Markneukirchen International Instrumental Competition, the J.M. Sperger Competition, the Osaka International Competition and the Eurovision Young Musicians Competition.

Dominik Wagner has already performed with renowned orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the WDR Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn and the Camerata Salzburg in concert halls in Vienna (Musikverein and Konzerthaus), Berlin (Konzerthaus and Philharmonie), Munich (Herkulessaal and Gasteig), Hamburg (Elbphilharmonie) and New York (Carnegie Hall), among others.

In addition to his solo activities, Dominik is a passionate chamber musician. He has worked with musicians such as the Emerson String Quartet, the Danish String Quartet, Isabel Faust, Tabea Zimmermann, Gerhard Schultz and Elisabeth Leonskaja. He also wants to expand the repertoire here and create new line-ups with new repertoire. This has resulted in constellations such as the duo with jazz double bassist Georg Breinschmid or the clarinet trio with Vera Karner and Aurelia Visovan, with the latter of which he won the Fanny Mendelssohn Prize, among others.
